FAQs
How would you describe your style of wedding photography?
Throughout your day I will aim to stay out of the way as much as possible. Think of me as just another guest or a fly on the wall, armed with camera, capturing every moment! The result will be a natural and relaxed collection of images that truly reflects the day and captures the fun, tears and tantrums (there is always one!). 90% of the images I deliver will be unposed in a documentary-style. You can rest assured you will never hear me say cheese!
Do we have you for a set number of hours?
No, I will be there from when the day starts with bridal and groom prep, through to your first dance. After that you may prefer there not to be photographic evidence!
Before the wedding we will talk through your plans for the day to make sure I get all the important bits.
Can you supply a second photographer for the day?
Absolutely - I can get a second shooter for £250. A second photographer is very handy if you are having a particularly large wedding or require Bridal and Groom prep shots at different venues. If this is something you want to discuss, I have a network of excellent photographers I can call on if required. I only ever work with photographers I would trust to shoot my own wedding day.
How far will you travel?
I can travel as far as you need me to. My price includes my travel expenses up to a two hour drive from my base in Rainford. If your venue is further afield that’s no problem, so long as you are happy to cover my expenses, which will be mutually agreed upfront.
Can we meet up before our wedding?
Yes certainly, and I would always encourage this. It’s a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to tell me about your plans for the big day.
Do you do engagement shoots?
Engagement shoots can be a great way to get used to being photographed in a more relaxed environment without any of the pressures of “the big day”; especially if you’re not all that comfortable having your picture taken. An hour is usually all we would need, so if this is something you’re considering just let me know.
Will you need to view our venue beforehand?
A visit to the wedding venue isn’t completely necessary. If I can will call up in advance and take a look around, but as there are lots of variables with photography, such as light and weather, I will usually make decisions on the day about the best locations for your pictures.
How long before we can see our finished photographs?
You can expect a sneak peek around a week after the big day. Editing such a large volume of images can take a little while, but I will deliver your full gallery about 4/5 weeks after your wedding day.
How many images will we receive?
This will vary from wedding to wedding, but for full day coverage I will usually deliver between 350 and 450 consistently edited images.
Can we print the photos?
Of course! You receive a password protected link all the fully edited images ready to download, print and share with whoever you choose.
Who edits the photographs?
Me! I do all my own editing work ensuring that the style is consistent and the quality high. I review and edit each image individually to make sure I get the best selection that tells the story from your day.
How will we receive our wedding pictures?
I will email you a pin protected link to your personalised gallery about 4/5 weeks after the wedding, where you can review the images, download and order prints and share with friends and family.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance up to £5million.
What happens if your camera breaks, do you have a back up?
Yes! I always have two cameras with me, various lenses & lighting equipment, plus an additional supply of memory cards, batteries etc. In the unlikely event that a camera or lens failed on the day I will be fully equipped to continue without impacting the final result.
What happens if you are ill?
In the unlikely event I am too ill to shoot your wedding (and I would have to be seriously ill or contagious to miss a wedding) I have an excellent network of photographers I can call on to stand in for me on the day. I only ever work with photographers I full trust to deliver to my standards and will ensure that they are fully briefed before they arrive.
